Don't really have a great deal to talk about except to let everyone know that I'm finally recovered :smile!!!
Let's see what has been going on ~ my son sprained his ankle day before yesterday at school, the same day began his basketball tournament. *If you think this starts to get ugly you'd be very correct*. I've come to the conclusion, that no matter how smart he is academically he has so missed the mark on common sense!!! Anyhoot ~ he comes inside the house after school takes some medication and lays down lifting his foot. I tell him that he can not play in the tournament that evening because even though he says it is feeling better he could do some seious damage to his ankle. And with select baseball starting NEXT WEEK he didn't want to do any damage to keep him on the bench since he is considered one of the star players on the team. He of course just gives me that blank stare ~ I reply you do hear and more importantly UNDERSTAND me correct? He just nods his head ~ rather he plays or not he has to go to the tournament so I take him on up to the school. Little Ms. Prissy Pot was sick so I had to stay home and Speedbump went to the game. I didn't speak to Speedbump or see him before the game since he went there straight from work so he is unaware of this new development.
Scarecrow *my son* and Speedbump show up after the game, Scarecrow on the verge of tears from pain, walks in my room collapses on my bed saying "Mama, I hurt and don't feel good". I grow concerned and go to tend to him and ask him what is wrong. *Amazing isn't it how big boys *my son is 6 1 at the age 14* turn into little babies when sick and hurt* Speedbump then walks in and says "I guess he is hurting since he turned his ankle pretty good during the game when he was taking over a rebound".
Needless to say motherly concern flew straight out the window when hearing that and I said "HE DID WHAT?", Scarecrow quickly was trying to make his get away from me and since he was immobilized I placed my hand on his shoulder and told him you are not going anywhere.
When Speedbump then found out that I had told him BEFORE the game he was NOT to play ~ well his night turned into hell from both parents. Speedbump gets an ice pack and tapes it on his ankle and elevates his foot. I begin cleaning the kitchen grumbling that sometimes I think I talk just to hear myself breath since they don't seem to listen to crap I have to say.....
So yesterday, Speedbump and Scarecrow have eye doctor appointments, after their appointments and they both getting contacts, Speedbump takes Scarecrow over to a friend who just so happens to be a Sports Trainer. Low and behold, Scarecrow has done some serious damage to his ankle. He has a high 3 sprain on both sides of his ankle, he also has torn the ligament in his growth joint, possibly broken it. And if not properly placed to be healed and as fast as he is growing it could cause his leg to grow wrong. GGGRRRR So we are trying to get him into the Orthopedic Surgeon today ~ they are trying to fit him in ~ so we can get an x-ray and go from there!
Other than all of that going on ~ Speedbump had a good birthday ~ however we were both so exhausted still yesterday when we got home from dinner we both collapsed and went fast to sleep when getting home. So I guess things are about to get busy around here ~ as Robin and the crew kept saying over the weekend ~ Never a dull moment around this house. :angry
Did You Take A Class On How To Piss Me Off?

Fear not, I am sure 'Scarecrow' will be fine!
