But can someone tell me HOW in such high levels of heat that this state of Texas endures EVERY YEAR ~ but I appropriately call it HELL ~ can people actually leave their children in the cars locked up??
This afternoon another child, which luckily lived through the ordeal, is yet another victim of many in this area of being left in a locked up car. Keep in mind the heat index for the past two weeks in this area is above 115 degrees. A car triples in that amount with no ventulation.
My question is this ~ how can you forget you are a parent? How can you forget your child is in the car? How can you go about your day and forget about your child?
I joke around a great deal about how I could open a vein at any given day when dealing with the normal battles of my kids. But to forget my child and/or children are in my vehicle is not imaginable to me. Even if they are asleep I still can't imagine forgetting they are in the vehicle.
As I'm driving, I'm constantly looking in my "mama" mirror checking on them when I hear silence. When I pull into any parking space, rather they are asleep or not, I check my "mama" mirror to determine if they can climb over my seat or I have to go to the side door of the van and carry one. When I come home, if they are asleep, I wake up Q14 and help him out, and then unbuckle Miss Prissy Princess and carry her inside.
Even if I'm in the van by myself driving somewhere, habit I check my "mama" mirror to check on the kids. So for me to hear as I've been reading and hearing on the local news about these parents who say, I forgot they were in the vehicle.
I have one question "HOW"? Did you forget you were a parent? Can anyone shed some light on how someone can forget they have a child locked in a vehicle in this heat and left to die and then claim "they forgot"???????
I LOVE TO GIVE HOMEMADE GIFTS ~ WHICH ONE OF MY KIDS DO YOU WANT?

Jamie, from what I have read about you, I believe that you try to be a good Mother. Unfortunately, there are many people who have children who really should not! Crap like this is a criminal act if you ask me. One should not leave a pet locked up in a car much less a child. Enuff said!
Thats right, Jamie, it is better to give them away rather than locking them up in a car to die. :-)
"forgot they were in the vehicle"???? WTF? Damn, too bad that to become a parent is so easy for some... it should require a license. I have seen some that had fertility problems, those that can not conceive would likely make better parents than so many that 'by accident' become parents.
The people that do that just have no brains in there. They are the people who should not have been aloud to have kids in the first place.

They have no brains and may be they were locked in a care when they were little.
They should not be aloud to have kids in the first place. I do not have kids but when I go out with my friends that do I even go to the back door and start to get the little one out.
