I ran across this story and had to laugh because it would be something Little Ms. Prissy Princess would do I have no doubt!!! Q15 tried his hand at it when he was five, but the scene was a wee bit different. I was at an ATM machine and he was sitting in the car watching me, like we all do ~ I finished my transaction and turned to get in my car as I watched it start rolling away with my son's face plastered to the window screaming.
I can laugh about that now, but then it was not so funny let me tell ya!!! Q15 decided he wanted to know what the stick in the middle did which so happened to be the gear shift. He put it in the middle and I was parked on a hill and there the car goes rolling. I managed to run the car down and get inside on the drivers side before anything terrible happened but that was a day I didn't need coffee to wake up and function let me tell ya!!
As far as my writings, I'll post some soon, I'm in deep edit mode right now on them ~ so one never knows what I'll come up with once I'm in edit mode.
THE OLDER WE GET ~ THE FEWER THINGS SEEM WORTH WAITING IN LINE FOR

That little story sounds like a good start for a Lifetime TV movie!
We wait to red your thoughts of yesteryear....
LOL Jamie, I know what you mean, I think all kids have done that at one time or another but it sure is scary isn't it? My 2 1/2 year old climbed out of his car seat while I was checking the mail (mailbox was at top of driveway and driveway sloped downhill. He put it in drive, managed to get the car between a tree and the carport without hitting anything, mowed the neighbors fence down and finally stopped when car hit their clothesline. Man, you've never seen anybody run so fast in your life, screaming all the way down trying to catch up with that car. When I got to it, he was just sitting there laughing. Thank God he wasn't hurt. Oh by the way, he is now 23 and hates to drive. LOL
I must have missed out as a kid. I never got to "drive" before I was about 14. Bummer!
Ha! Your graphic is funny ... the older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for. Well, except for two lines I can think of: 1. The beer line 2. The potty line.
Have a great one! See ya Monday?
That is soooo just the beginning...can't wait to remember the "Teen Age Years" ...
Suz
Phew!! I managed to miss out that phase as I couldn't drive when any of mine were that young
