About the PMS meter - IT IS A JOKE!!! More importantly there is a story behind it - Read further if you dare!!!
I have PMS BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BRUTALLY BAD!!!! However, I'm never aware when I'm at my worse with what is going on in my life on a good day, much less a bad one. All I know is this, what I would normally find funny, I get pissed off at, what I get pissed at normally I find funny, I get insomnia BADLY, no sleep and PMS'ing not a good combination.
Missy T and myself are very very close friends and have been long before she ever generated this blog for me. She knows me when I don't even know myself sometimes. We can sometimes be a sickly bunch - finishing each other's thoughts, knowing without words what is okay to say what isn't, fight like we've known each other all our lives - basically in a nut shell we are safe with one another. We can speak our minds and still be friends at the end of the day!!!
Where the joke falls into place is when I take offense over something in an email that I would normally outside of PMS'ing and life issues, fall over laughing about, is when Missy T comes into play and tells me "deep breaths Jamie, save the email, respond NEXT WEEK."
It has become such a joke between us that when I'm bitching and moaning about life issues I DON'T post about and she talks with Speedbump they know by Missy T what is going on with me. People I can get half wacked about issues sometimes on PMS - be glad I spare you and you can thank Missy T for that issue aka saving you!!!
I knew about the PMS meter - we laughed about it - if some took offense about it being posted I'd like to apologize but I won't - it is hubby site and it fits his wonderful well rounded personailty - and both Missy T and Speed have informed me that if I am uncomfy with it at all it disappears - IT IS A JOKE!!!
However, in this joke I found out tonight, there is more than just a meter *glares at Missy T* as she continues to laugh!!! I'm not THAT BAD!!!! Okay most the time!!! *shy look* Am I?
Are blogs not meant to be fun????? A great laugh across the board??? Well here is a laugh at our expense enjoy it while you can :biggrin. More importantly than what blogs are to be or not to be, those people who read this blog and know me personally, know I hold back, know I keep quiet on MANY views I have. Missy T is one of the MAJOR factors / friends in my life that knows EVERYTHING that goes on, how, why etc. rather she wants to know or not.
In my opinion, a blog with a person posting about their life does not actually mean they are giving you full insite of their life, they are only giving you what they are willing to share with the world of their life. Belive it or not, I'm more private a person than most who happen across this blog will ever know and I'm a very hard person to get close to in real life. I have many walls and inabitions *however you spell it* which I've spread my wings so to speak having a blog, but not as much as people would think.
With all going on in my world a PMS meter is a great comic relief to me - plus it also keeps him, aka hubby, informed via his blog when to know to be more understanding to me outside of waking Missy T up in the middle of the night. ohh wait that is me ey? :lol
Bottom line is this - if you don't like the meter don't look at it - if you take such offense that it even exsist then I suggest stop reading - he doesn't post enough on a good day to make anyone take offense and he is my hubby and I love him. Missy T did a great deal of html skill yet again in her talented career unpaid and posted it - it is funny at my expense and if I find not insult in it no one else should!!!
Anyhoot - has been a long hard emotional roller coaster ride this week - I'm outta here -

But just for the record, I think BigDaddy needs a PMS meter for me!! It would sure keep him out of a lot of trouble!!!
I think it's hilarious, although I rarely check out Speedbump's blog because he hardly ever updates. Come on, I update usually five days (or six) a week! Maybe ol' Speed is going through man-o-pause and you need to have a testosterone meter on your site.
...ok...I understand everything...I fully, utterly completely know what everyone is saying and what is happening...when I say *everything* there might just be one thing I didn't follow...hang on...scrolls through post...checks last post....right...got it....what is pms?....and would you please put the knife down before you explain it to me :^)...

I think the meter is a HOOT! I tried to post that to Speed's blog, but AOL was uncooperative.
Jamie....I don't know if I would say that the laugh is at your expense. I know the three of you, and it seemed like a great joke to me.
If someone actually took it as a putdown, they couldn't possibly know you, and should find other blogs to read.
