For those who are going to shake their heads, you might get bored quickly, but there are "some" who will be glued reading my view of their New Year's. :biggrin

And what better way than by analogy by song and whom better than the Eagles in all their wonderful years of glory to offer bits of advise through their lyrics???

Well, Little Ms. Prissy Princess is finally on the road to recovery :biggrin. However, Bruno *our black lab*, went and got sick on us too. So off to the vet we went today, he had to get his shots and routine blood work done anyways. I am telling the vet his symptoms and explaining how everyone around our house has been sick and our youngest has strep along with the flu. The vet informed me that dogs can not catch what human's have nor can human's catch what dogs have, however, with the strep virus, some dogs can carry the virus and give it back to a human. :shrug who knew!!! Well no fear everyone, Bruno is being treated for his baterial virus and to be on the safe side for the strep virus too boot!!! :smile. So hopefully, everyone is on the road to recovery around our house :happydance!!!

Anyways it is New Years Eve :groupwave ~ do any of ya have plans??? Not us, staying inside, no driving, and hoping that the New Year brings in everyone healthy!!! :biggrin ~ but never fear everyone ~ I'm prepared with some friendly advise I'd like to share with everyone :drinking

But before I fill you in on what I mean ~ let me ask ~ How do you like the New Year look???? T'sey is sooo good to me :biggrin.

As you can tell we survived Christmas!! It was a very nice Christmas other than the fact that I had the flu :puke. I spent Christmas afternoon, the next day and Saturday in bed, Sunday I managed to feel slightly human to crawl into a shower and back into bed :smile.

Monday a.m. I woke up feeling as normal as well I can be under the guidelines of "normal". :smile SHUT UP FROM THE CHEAP SEATS!!!! Only to find out ~

Well it is official, you don't have to go shopping in malls or stores to encounter, Christmas Eve hell!!! Just request the phone company to come install a private line for a teenager for a Christmas suprise and trust me they'll cover all the stress for you :angry.

And then the presents will be opened and the extra stress in life will be departed and safely tucked away till the end of 2004. Little Ms. Prissy is back home and began whinning about everything and anything since she woke up :errrr and I'm only on my first cup of :coffee.

As promised some photo's of inside the house. I noticed today that it is very hard to get just one photo of our den area so I did the best I could, but you'll get the jest :smile.

This is only my THIRD try in posting and then hitting the wrong botton to post tonight :angry!!!!!

Okay ~ T'sey and I have a mutual friend who does not have a blog and so needs one!!! Mind you she won't obtain one till after the holidays ~ but personally she will always be and her blog should be appropriately titled the DUCK TAPE QUEEN. :biggrin. Okay few know of whom I'm taking about but many know exactly of whom I speak of :smile.

I've been busy trying to get myself into the "bah humbug" Christmas spirit. Hubby tried to kick me into gear this year by getting our lights up without me throwing a walled eyed fit ~ that is Texan terms for a temper tantrum :biggrin.

The one thing that I always get excited about is a gift since I've been married to Speedbump "mom" always gets me along with stocking me up on my perfume for the year to boot ~ for the record mom I'm slap out of my supply!!!

Before I go to bed ~ T was talking about this test as she was taking it ~ so I went over to take a lookie see and decided what the hell let me take it ~ HA!!!

Anyhoot, also to bring in the yuletide season there is a tradition that Buffy over at Arrrggg always dreads is when Julie and I put our heads together and revamp Christmas songs :lol

Well it is that time of year that all teacher's assign school projects. I found out the weekend after Thanksgiving that Q15 had "TWO" school projects due after the Thanksgiving holiday that he knew about for almost a month. Yet, per the norm, I found out about them when one was due the day he was suppose to go back to school and the other is due this week. Of course, he hadn't even worked on them at all until the last minute.

Well the one that has already been turned in was in Science class where they had to build a car that would roll with ONLY food products. :errrr He got that completed and graded very well with the help of one of our neighbors who's son had to do the same project.

Well today, he is working on his English project :angry

I was over at T-Bone's today reading his thoughts on items written that wind up in archieves and never read ~ well T-Bone today that theory was proven wrong :smile. Since I got an interesting email on a post I made on April 4th, 2003.

Now first let me state up front and personal this is not a "bashing" post ~ it is a post to address some issues brought up in an email I received today which by nature I'm assuming it was not meant as a personal attack on me, however, some things were stated in the email that I felt were a personal attack on me as an individual.

Bahhh humbuggggggggg!!! I survived the kids out of school for the week of Thanksgiving "BARELY", in less than two weeks, they will be out of school for the Christmas holidays till January 5th. UUGGGHHHH ~ I don't have the nerves to withstand the kids home and trying to get things prepared for Christmas!!!

And following true to form this year, I'm very behind on the getting the house decorated. I think I've been married to Speedbump too long as he is rubbing off on me. However, this weekend I'm going to put my foot down about my Christmas lights!!!! The Christmas tree is always the last thing I purchase since we do a real tree and so not to attract the dogs to the tree, I wait until the week before Christmas before getting one up and decorated. Plus I have to rearrange my whole house just to fit a tree in here ~ moving furniture and the like ~ uugghhhhhh!!!!

Neither here nor there ~ it is fun watching the kids get all excited and want to do crafty things for Christmas ~ so all isn't bah humbug I guess ~ :smile.

My inlaws of course keep me laughing with funnies so I'll add one of them here today ~ enjoy!!!

What color am I??? Well when I took this last night and read the results to T'sey ~ since she is internet MIA at the moment ~ she laughed and said finally that nailed you on the money :lol ~

And I bet all of you thought I hijacked Toby Keith and got lost somewhere along the way :biggrin. Well it wasn't lack of my trying on the hijacking issue, but did manage to get lost ~ well the girl that went to the football game with me lost her car ~ I'll get to that ~

Thanksgiving dinner was apparently a large hit with everyone because some of the people who had Thanksgiving dinner with us appeared the next night at our house looking for leftovers. Which is no problem since only Speedbump eats leftovers in this house ~ so no waste of food this year.

My friend and I headed out for the football game with full bellies and had a blast despite I froze my backside off ~ it was coooooolllllddddddd!!!! The group that we were sitting around were a blast!!! We had some Dolphin fans two rows ahead of us and a full line of die hard Dallas fans *which weren't hard on the eyes I might add* in the row right in front of me. Since Dallas couldn't find they ass through their elbows it was cause for some very interesting exchanges between the fans ~ I just sat there laughing and drinking my beer waiting for the whole reason I was in attendance to begin with ~ MY MAN!!!!
