Christmas Eve HELL!!

At 9:00 a.m. bright and early, I have a phone service tech show up at my house to install the new line. :biggrin. Surpises are moving along swimingly I believe. The tech comes back to my door and informs me everything is set up and we are good to good ~ we exchange "Merry Christmas's" and he leaves. I reach for my "MAIN" line to call T'sey ~ this is where Christmas Eve HELL begins. I have NO dial tone on my MAIN LINE!!! My DSL is working wonderful but NO DIAL TONE on my main line. I immediately pick up my cell phone and call in a complaint to the phone companies customer service. About noon, another tech shows up, to fix the problem the first tech created.

All is right in my world, Little Ms. Prissy is entertained on the other computer on barbie.com, the tech is fixing the first screw up, the gifts are wrapped minus two, which for the record I'm still working on ~ the tech comes into the house to check the phone lines to make sure everything is working properly when we hear GAWD awful screams erupt from my bedroom.

For the record, our two computers which are interent ready are located in my bedroom. So the tech and I almost mow down the Christmas tree to find out what is going on in my bedroom to cause my 4 year old daughter to bellow such deadly frightful cries.

We walk in only to find out that her cries were due to the DSL connection going dead and was immediately taken off barbie.com in the middle of a game. Gezzz I so want to be Barbie that bitch has EVERYTHING!!!!

So, the process begins!!! The tech tells me to shut down my DSL modem and computer. I oblige!! I reboot all the equipment and the dsl line shows active but it is still dead. The tech tells me it is a problem with the DSL line and for me to call in to the DSL people to get it fixed and LEAVES!!! :fdup

I call in the problem and explain the events of the day, they run some test on the line and inform me they don't show any activity on my line, well hello dip shits, I could have save you a ton of time and informed you of that :hammer!!!

They immediately send me to DSL tech support and connect me with this wonderful man named "MIKE". :biggrin!!! He does what he can do with me on the phone and to no avail no DSL connection ~ now I'm getting pissed ~ and well he isn't so happy either :biggrin. He informs me to hang up and let him run some test and he calls me back in about 15 minutes.

Yeah I'm believing that one ~ normally when a tech tells you that you never hear back from them ~ well "Mike" called me back and said he had some bad news for me.

Well Merry *minus word here* Christmas to me ~ they all know there is problem in my DSL line due to the tech disconnecting my DSL line, however, they aren't going to be able to get it fixed until Monday late after noon at the latest. :wtf I DON'T THINK SO!!!!!

So I ask "Mike", in other words, they splice my Main line, come out and fix it, and in the process splice my DSL line and well they can't be bothered with fixing their errors on Christmas Eve???? :pummel

I was informed by "Mike" how sorry he was and that he'd do whatever he could do to get it done TONIGHT. I hung up saying "yeah yeah RIGHT". :angry

Well low and behold ~ "Mike" worked wonders ~ my DSL is now back working on Christmas Eve!!! YEAH BABY :mouse

I got my promised "Christmas photo" :biggrin, I was able to send out Christmas photo's of the kids to my family, and I even went as far as to leave "Mike" a very happy customer voice mail thanking him for his persistance and help in this matter.

Now I'm a happy camper and off to finish up a few cards via email and the last of the Christmas gifts!!!!
