But before I fill you in on what I mean ~ let me ask ~ How do you like the New Year look???? T'sey is sooo good to me :biggrin.
As you can tell we survived Christmas!! It was a very nice Christmas other than the fact that I had the flu :puke. I spent Christmas afternoon, the next day and Saturday in bed, Sunday I managed to feel slightly human to crawl into a shower and back into bed :smile.
Monday a.m. I woke up feeling as normal as well I can be under the guidelines of "normal". :smile SHUT UP FROM THE CHEAP SEATS!!!! Only to find out ~
Little Ms. Prissy Princess wasn't feeling good. Well I got up gave her some med's for what was a slight temp in the morning ~ cold and cough medicine and kept a close eye on her during the day.
She slept off and on, which is the first sign she is really not feeling well!! Around 11 a.m. she felt too warm to me after giving her Children's motrion at 10:30. So I took her temp, I had cause for concern, her temp was 102.3. So I waitied a little bit and kept forcing fluids in her and checking her temp it only lowered to about 101.1 with motrion. She feel asleep for a short nap and I had to wake her for more med's. Gave the med's, took her temp and found it to be 103.9 and rising. I called the doctor to see if they could move up her appointment from tomorrow a.m. to NOW and they couldn't so off we rush to the emergency room. Her temp still rising.
We get to the emergency area, they also give her a healthy dose of Advil, give it a few minutes and take her temp it is only lowered to 102. They get us back to see the doctor only for him to advise me of my worse fears ~
Little Ms. Prissy Princess has not only the flu but also strep throat. Her temp finally broke while we were at the doctor's and she started acting like the little bit I've always known, chatter box and busy body!!!
She is now hunkered down in mama's bed for the night, all her med's in her and waiting till 10 p.m. for more motrion and hopefully a peaceful nite of sleep. *fingers crossed*.
As you can tell we've survived Christmas and now trying to survive the flu/strep throat virus..................:walk_sad.
Tootles for now everyone!!!!
