Finally A Chill In The Air

My job is going great but has left me with no time to myself ~ with all the baseball running around, picking up from day care issues, traffic to and from work and the GAWD AWFUL early hour I have to tumble out of bed, I'm finding weekends to be my dream time once again. I have to be out of bed no later than five a.m., yes everyone 5 a.m. and we all know how well I handle things that early NOT and on the road no later than 7 or else I'm late!!!! During the time I wake I not only have to get myself ready but Little Ms. Prissy Princess before I leave because we know that no one else around here is going to wake in enough time to get themselves and anyone else ready.

Last week while on a smoke break this adorable little black lab came wondering up to us all and took us all in. I found myself falling in love with her and talked one of the MT's to take her home, since Speedbump was ADOMENT NO MORE DOGS!!!! *HUGE POUT* Then around Wed's or Thursday I saw a sign hung in our little smoke area leaving a number in reference to the dog. So I called to check on her ~ they took her to the POUND!!!!! :angry !!!! The Humane Society wasn't open that day so they took her to the pound and the owner apparently dumped her out because they never called to check on her. So I call the pound to find out she goes up for adoption on Saturday a.m. and if not adopted by Monday night Tuesday she would be put down.

So I call Speedbump and the fight begins!!! As everyone can imagine.......so after hours of debate the decision was made ~ Speedbump would pick her up on Saturday and we would foster her until we could find her a good home. :smile So we have a new baby in the group. She is about 5 months old and is a baby Bruno. She has really taken a liking to Speedbump loves on him all the time and sleeps with him.

The boys are non to please ~ Bruno just hides from her, Chance grumbles evertime she even looks at him and Charlie acts like the house is their romper room when he is in the mood and when he isn't he hakles up and growls non stop!!!

Doors have now become permently shut in Q16 and Little Ms. Prissy's Room and shoes are now not left lying around ~ there is some advantage of having a puppy in the house, I"m not the only one picking everything up :smile. When she gets in trouble she stays outside and gets on our swing and watches the kitchen door and barks at us. She acts like she has lived here all her life!!! She is skinny at the moment but we all know that won't last long in this house!!!

Q16 has finally gotten his life back since he has straightened up and pulled his grades back up to A's and B's. He is over at a friends house after going to the movies last night to see Friday Night Lights.

And I have found that it is awfully sad when your 5 year old is now smarter than you are at 38 :lol. She is loving school and the after school program.

Our English neighbors had to move this weekend *HUGE HUGE POUT* and they will be heading back to England in January as thier work issue was cancelled!!! However, they had bought some extra funiture to fill the house they were living in and didn't want to ship it back home and put it in storage and the place they are moving too isn't large enough to hold it so I now have living room funiture. So every room in the house has furniture in it!! They all came over for dinner last night and we had a good time and it looks like they will be spending Thanksgiving dinner with us also.

Speaking of Thanksgiving, my parents and my brother are going to come into town to spend Thanksgiving with us :mouse I'm so happy it will be the first Thanksgiving in 7 years I have spent with MY family. I'm even more excited about the fact that they have decided they are going to stay in my house this time instead of getting a motel :biggrin. Time to dealcohol my home and desmoke it :lol.

And a little news for all that knew my neighbors daughter from the old house ~ she came by too see me this weekend. Her daughter is just adorable!!! She has married now and is expecting her second child. She has cleaned up her act wonderfully and is such a good mom!!!!! I was so glad to see them and hear how well she is doing with life.

Well I guess that pretty much sums up our life around Texas.......working, kids and dogs!!!!
