The kids and I have returned safe and sound from our 2 in a half week stay with my parents. For the most part, the trip was fun and enjoyable, however, my mother and I together longer than a long weekend things tend to get "tense". And the night before I left it blew :let_it_all_out !!!
Now some quick highlights of our trip ~
Daddy's retirement was met with mixed emotions. Daddy needed to retire there is no doubt of that but he has been the minister at the same church for 29 years so it was like saying good bye to a large family. Although only saying good bye as being the "preachers kid" but not saying good bye to the friendships!!! You can view a few photo's if you'd like below.....
And T please note I resized these thank you very much :biggrin!!!! And all just for you :sun_smiley Okay some are still large, but I resized them as low as I could without them becoming distorted!!! At least I tried :biggrin!!!

We flew in Friday nite, well okay early Saturday a.m. Then Saturday night they had a dinner in our honor and the church called it a "Roast For The *insert name* Family". In the photo below the pictures behind my parents are their high school graduation photo's.
Now little prissy princess just couldn't handle all the excitement and wound up fast asleep as soon as dinner was over and this photo I do believe is priceless!!!! Poor baby :lol
However, big brother took pity on her and managed to turn her into a more comfy position.
As you can tell Saturday night was filled with good food and lots of laughs, however Sunday was not so easy.
Sunday was so emotional and a tear filled day that not only was I unable to put a smile on my face, but my daddy also could bearly make it through his sermon without chocking up. And for me to see my daddy tear up is just heart wrentching for me!!!! However, here is how I will always remember our church and also a great photo of my daddy.

Well I didn't realize this would be so long winded so I'll save the remainder of the trip updates for another post on another day. We went to the beach and celebrated my parents 50th Wedding anniversary while home this trip for the next post!!

Wonderful pictures! Your dad's looking great! Despite the fact that it had to be hard for him to step down from the pulpit, I hope that you all had a good visit.
