After having a very emotional weekend with my daddy's retirement *read entry below*. We then headed off to Myrtle Beach South Carolina for a week, my old stomping grounds to be exact. I have not been back since I was 18 years old, little ms. prissy princess has never seen the ocean, and Q16 picked up where I left off so many years ago!!!
Little Ms. Prissy Princess was about to bust a gut to get down to the beach once we got there, however, she had to wait for us to get the camper set up. Q16 was already scooping out prospects and landed one right beside our site and quickly made friends. She helped him put up his tent and the day she left she cooked him a huge breakfast and brought it over for him. *rolling eyes* I just began calling him "studly"!!!
Little Ms. Prissy Princess was at first terrified of the ocean. Cried and screamed begging to find a pool to swim in not the water where fish and sharks swim. :uhoh3 However, she quickly got over her fear and woke up at the crack of dawn the next morning swim suit in hand begging to hit the sand and surf.
Little Ms. Prissy Princess had no problems making friends herself and quickly found someone to help her surf in the waves.
And then she managed to talk her brother to help her also and the wipe outs were just too funny to watch!!!
Then mama found my camera and took her hand at operating it and I'll only share this photo because some of those photo's make me look like a blimp, but here are me and the kids heading out to play in the ocean. There is someone between us as I'm taking up the rear ~ no pun intended!
After spending all day in the ocean, which didn't hurt my feelings any as I got to lay out and bake :smile, we headed off to the pool after dinner.
Let's just say that the pool had taken many changes since the years in the past that I remember. They have all these different items that have water flowing over them also fully armed with tall water guns along the side of the pool. She had a blast, while Q16 laid on a lawn chair and slept and I was busy taking photo's of the little one having fun.
Q16 found during his time at the beach that his sister wasn't such a bad thing to have around as it attracted girls to him. Little Ms. Prissy Princess worked it big time for her advantage also to be able to run around in a golf cart and not be stuck with the older crowd!!!
Although I know this post is rather long, I hope you are enjoying the few selected photo's of our trip. The next one's were taken when Ms. Prissy Princess was told not to get wet while looking for sea shells, well just see for yourself is she listens :shakehead
Apparently, the ocean was more appealing than minding mama huh? However, it is kind of hard to get mad at her when she is apparently having so much fun.
Now Ms. Prissy and her Papa always had a joke going on at all times and here is a priceless photo of the two of them together ~
And while Q16 was off picking up women, Ms Prissy managed to talk Papa into letting her stay up late to watch fireworks with him and Nana.
As you can tell we had a wonderful time at the beach not to mention I now have a killer tan going on. I'll no longer bore you with photo's and details. Thanks for lasting this long :smile.
