Through adversity you are about to embark, yet through love is where the two of you will make your true mark. Through trials, tribulations and grief we have fault, but today is your day no one can ever default.
It is an “alternate lifestyle” I’ve been told it is called, yet when I see you discuss and the look in your eye it is only love that I see. You are in love with the love you will stand beside. One may not agree but how can they disagree? Your upcoming vows are vows! Many take them as passing words that can be broken, however, knowing you, that is not the case. What tears at my heart are those who are blinded by belief to miss the true love that you two feel and believe. I’ve made mistakes and judgments, but who am I to judge, we are the same. Your vows are the same vows that I exchanged without one blinking an eye, rather one disagrees, can someone please tell me, how can they deny?
We might not always agree, yet never you doubt, the love, happiness and courage I envy that through you I have been to find without any doubt. You are one of my dearest friends although it has not been seen but my love is extended towards you and acceptance abound.
Please take this simple gift as I offer it to you and please do not think it is a slap in the face. Although I cannot be there in spirit this is best I can do, as it is financial reason I’m not there with you. Yet as I’m known with expressing myself through song, I’ve searched and I’ve look with hours upon………. there are two songs that sum our friendship up…..one not so noted at times and the other a testament in us…..As Collin Ray sing “We’re Not That Different After All” sums up my happiness for you and M in the life you are about to embrace. Yet at the end of the day, I will say what Queen sings…….and although I know you are marrying your best friend…….I will always hear this song and think of you……….”You’re my BEST friend”.
