Christmas Is Now Over

And the end of 2005 is coming to a close! Hopefully 2006 will ring in a better year for everyone! Our Christmas was spent with family and friends, quiter than usual, but a wonderful Christmas just the same.

My parents were here for about a week in a half before Christmas and left to make the long trip to spend Christmas day with my brother in South Carolina so that he wouldn't be alone. Then Speed's Grandmother came in and spent Christmas with our family and left for home yesterday. So the week before the New Year is to be rung in I'm trying to get my house back in order and clean, in hopes that will motivate me throughout the year of 2006 to keep it as clean and in order as I like. Or at least motivate my piglets to help me out in keeping our humble abode the way I like it!!! :biggrin

My garage looks like a natural disaster zone with all the boxes that hold decorations and more boxes from packages arriving from Christmas. We can barely fit one car in there any longer and that is only because I do get a bit fussy when I can't get my car in the garage. I know go figure!! Yet it gives me a change to reorganize how it is stored and seperated by holiday so it is easier to pull out of the attic on the needed occassion.

I told both my kids that we needed to go through all their "no longer interesting" items so that we can ship them off to other children whom are in need of things. Clothes are a big thing I need to clear out, there are days that I truely believe that I could open my own clothing store should the urge strike me. I'm thinking of sending all these extra not needed items we have around here to the home from where I was adopted. Waiting to get the information I need to do that.

News on the batcave ~ she is still in bad shape ~ I'm waiting to hear from either her or hubby to find out how things went at the doctor today. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers as I"m terribly worried about the little shit!!!

Well that is about all the news I have to share from our neck of the woods. I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and will have a happier New Year!!!

Tootles!!!

sounds like a wonderful time was had by all...let me know how that 'getting your house the way you like it' works for ya LOL
if you hear from the batcave, let her know she's in our thoughts...of course, knowing her getting out when she did, she probably overdid trying to get everything done for the holidays *eek* (I hope not, hopefully she rested like she should!)
have a wonderful new year my dear...ttys

It's really smart, AND generous, of you to clean things out and share them with others. I did the same with our closets about a month ago, and the clothes are going to be picked up this week.

When you get everything organized at your place, come on up. I could use some help with the dratted basement....still! I have plastic boxes to store all the holiday stuff. Now I need to spend a day downstairs repackaging everything. :-( It's time to GET TOUGH and throw out decorations we no longer need!
