Really SUCKED!!! Now many of you are going to ask how would I know since I live in Texas? Well, for the Christmas holiday I loaded up the kids in my baby and drove to Wyoming to spend the holidays with my parents. The original plan was to get there before Christmas and leave the Friday before New Years. Well, mother nature had other plans for us!!
As a mother, I know I'm a strict one, however, with a teenager in the house I remember my teenage years with strict parents and I at least try to give some rope to express their freedom.
Examples: I allow my kids when they are aggervated, mad or whatever to express themselves. Even if it is disrespectful, which during those times it is very disrespectful. But I allow it for them to get it out of their system and then we are able to talk about it and come to an agreement. I also am very VERY firm about the fact about drinking ~ note for the teenager ONLY!!! If he wants something to drink all he has to do is ask.
Lets face it, teenagers are going to be teenagers, they are going to try it. My view is this I would rather have him try it at home than go somewhere else drink and then drive.
Well the WRATH of MAMA is lose!!!
My very intelligent son (note HIGH SARCASM THERE) not only went out one night, drank then drove, but LIED TO ME ABOUT IT AFTER HE HAD BEEN BUSTED!!!!!!!!!!! I told him I couldn't prove it YET so he had the benifit of the doubt, but today I could PROVE IT and then he admitted it.
Yes my head spun around several times and came close to pea soup being spewed very where!!!! I'm so livid I can not see straight!!!!
I'm sure I have some that never comment that will read this and think that I'm too strict and that is the cause of this ~ welcome to my fan club ~ however this isn't about me!!!!! It is about my child's inability to stand on his own two feet and say NO!!!!! It is about my eldest child's bright future with one or more bad decisions being flushed down the toliet or God Forbid 6 ft under or putting someone else there!!!
I so have to calm down before I make my choice of punishment!!!!!!! No matter how livid I am the worst part of all of this is my huge disappointment in my eldest.
Now if anyone comments about if I didn't drink my child wouldn't be interested ~ I swear I might have to turn my anger to you!!! I lived in a home that drinking was a NO NO it only made me want to try it more!!!! So let's all be smart and NOT go there!!!!!
Can I just scream GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I've discussed here about my parents pending move toWyoming. Well the day is upon me, brutally, I might add. My childhood home is sold to the buyer from HELL, my parents are in a motel tonight with a drive across country on the highest traveled holiday, and mother nature hits and causes higher gas prices and shortages in their first day of travel.

Well Q16 begins his driving part of drivers ed next week in someone else's car :biggrin! At least they have a break on the other side where I don't ~ if he makes it through that driving part with no injuries then I might test fate again and allow him behind the wheel of my car. Note the maybe in that sentence!!!
So if living with an over zealous teenage isn't bad enough we still have Ms. Prissy Princess........
So our family is undergoing yet more changes. Q16 is not only about to turn 17, but is now going thru drivers education. :shakehead

Update, I decided to take now the post below as not to anger anyone else!!!!
Teresa and I will NEVER be the same friendship wise after all of this just as Kristi, hubby, Speedbump or myself will never be the same. HOWEVER if we are to EVER get past this ~ EVERYONE no matter whom you are defending needs to back off................
I think the biggest mistake many has derived from all of this is that I think T is a bad mother..............let me state clearly now NO I DO NOT..........I think she is a wonderful mother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! However she and I just disagree on many issues!!!
I called I'm trying it was recoqnized........for she and I that is so NOT EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess it just depends and boils down to whom wants to see us move past all this and at the end of the day if we decided we can still be friends it really is up to two people SHE AND I.
Please everyone who may read this at least take this into accomidation ~ she and I have not always been good friends but we have been the type friends who fight and TRY and work it out!!!! AT least give us that time together should she want it ~ I'm trying.
We left off at Tuesday and Q16 seemed to be in agreement with the newly founded rules of the house, or at least so we thought!!!!
Wednesday rolls around and one of his little friends (whom is a girl) wants to attend his baseball game. So I tell her that if it is okay with her parents I will take her home with us and then on to the game and fix dinner after the game then take her home. So she and one of her little friends jump at the offer. We are driving home and Q16's cell phone rings and he says "Private number" who is that? He answers and I hear him say "I'm in the van with my mother this was not wise". I hit the breaks and turn around and stare at Q16 and say "What part of NO FUCKIN' CONTACT are you not grasping?" He quickly hangs up the phone!!

HOLY HELL, as Davis225 would say, I really thought my Q16 had his head screwed on straight, however, he proved the power of the meow here lately.
