I'm ALIVE I Swear!!!

The road has been long, full of drama, but I am still alive thus far to talk about it :). I know that if anyone still trips by here will pass out as many have when receiving emails from me, but Kristi has been a bit bitchie about me not posting in over a year.

A LOT of changes have gone on in my life over the past year, some very bad, some very sad and some just down right wonderful! Let's see where the drama of my life left off -

Q18 (at the time) was drafted by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and if didn't sign was going to become a Razorback - my how things quickly change - he decided on his own not to sign a major league contract and also decided not to attend a 4 year college so that he would still be eligebale for the draft again this year. He instead got a full ride to Midland Junior College where he headed off to play baseball. Poor thing was miserable there except when playing baseball. The draft rolled around again this year (begining of June) and he was drafted yet again by the same team and now he is either going to a different Junior college where he has been scouted hard and has decided which one or to sign yet this year. He is worse than a woman one day he is going back to school the next he is going to give sign - I swear he is worse than a woman sometimes - but I am thinking he might wait yet another year to get his complete strength back up to par as he is finally getting his mojo back into gear *big proud mama grin*. Here is master studly pitching at college ain't he just handsome :)

Little Miss. Prissy is well what can we say is another year older and still as adorable as ever - my oh my is that little girl just grown acting!!!! Right now she has taken on her first long trip away from mama and is with my parents in podunckville Wyoming. My mom was terrified she was going to be bored out of her mind and terribly homesick, but was pleasently suprised as Miss. Prissy Pants rules the place now with pride and is having a down right blast!!!! The first couple of days she called begging for her to be able to enroll in school there and still mentions on a regular basis but ummm NO - then her next trick was begging me to move out there ummm HELL NO!!! She has been there I guess about going on 3 weeks and I am heading there next week to visit the folks and gather my daughter up and bring her home to reality :(. This trip has been very good for her on many levels but most important level of all is getting her out of the middle of all the drama that she has taken on that she needs to fix and/or protect given what mood is presented to her at the time. I so can not believe that she will be in the 4th grade this year - my has time passed by. This was taken on her 9th birthday in March man she is just so grown!!

As for myself I have not been without the drama UNFORTUNATELY!!! See I still can't spell it is my 3rd grade edcuation or lack there of kicking in over drive LOL!!!! Lets see have been majorily sick and still battling but I'm a tough ol' broad I have come to the conclusion. Kristi and Craig have really been there for me during all this drama and we have even managed to gather some down right major laughs. Kristi and I discovered yet another side of Craig when he finally met his soul mate in life LOL they are so adorable together!!! I will let Kristi discuss that one :). And for the record if you haven't had the pleasure of going into surgery with Kristi by your side you are missing some real fun let me tell ya - we so did try and get a double IV pack with the "good drugs", but Kristi missed out and boy let me tell ya I didn't wake up for 3 days some SERIOUS SERIOUS good drugs!!! There are days I miss them LOL!!

I have a new baby girl and she is just ADORABLE!!! She will be a year old in August and can I officially announce I just LOVE LOVE LOVE HER!!!!

Isn't she just ADORABLE!!! Meet my tinkerbell - She was a Christmas gift to me. I am told that I love her more than anyone and let me tell ya there are days :)~. Craig introduced her to drink bottles which are now her thing - if you tighten the lid on them she will get the lid off in 2 seconds flat and then lift the bottle to get the rest of the drink out before throwing the bottle in the air to chase it around. She is a HOOT!!! LOVE HER!!!

Well I guess you have gotten the updates as I am willing to throw out there at the time :) more changes have happened just don't care to air right now but one never knows when the urge will strike LOL -

22 Seems To Be The Lucky Number

Yes in the 22nd round of the major league baseball draft my eldest baby was drafted by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays!!!! Q18 has a minimum price plus 4 years college that he will agree too before giving up becoming a Razorback in the upcoming Fall term.

He still has his college waiting for him if Tampa Bay doesn't come up with the amount or feel he hasn't gained his strength back yet by August 15th. But right now I have a very HAPPY HAPPY baby around here and I'm so proud of him!!!

And still no word about Q18. He is quiet and withdrawn, but due to previous issues going on that doesn't suprise me. It has to be hard seeing two people locally whom you were ranked as their competiors before getting sick getting picked in the first round. We are told he will get picked up, but according to everything no one really knows....

So we are all on a sit and wait all day tomorrow now...........after tomorrow he is either signed or official going to college!!

Thanks to all those whom have called and wished him luck and talked to him ~ it means so much!!!

Well for the next two days we will be on pins and needles to find out what happens during the baseball draft as far as Q18 is concerned!

The day that every mother dreads; then there are mother's like me that rejoice ~ it is GRADUATION!!!!!

Okay in all seriousness Ryan is celebrating a great deal more than his mom ~ for his mom aka that would be me ~ I am constantly fighting back tears and fighting an unnamed coach ~ ohh screw it fighting Coach A and his stupidity!!

]]> Mama mushy time so just bare with ~ I feel I'm luckier than most ~ I have tried to always be an active and informed parent in my eldest life; much to his dismay and him being caught on things he probably now wishes I never knew and he never did; but more importantly were the ever so valuable lessons I have learned and most importantly the kids I have had the honor to call me "Mama T"!

Mike W. - You charmer you if you are seriously staying local my door is always open for you - no prewarning needed - unless of course you want me to cook then all you have to do is ask or show up at dinner!!!

Tank - TANKKKKKKKKKKKKK what can I say about you darlin' - you are cockey, confident and just plain loveable and I will miss the busting thru the door of my house and hearing that deep voice yelling "MAMMMMAAAA TTTTTTTTTTTTT"

Colton - I will never forget you being the first of the boys to protest your photo being taken; I remember it well "noooooooo nooooooo come on now I don't do pictures" But why darlin' you are so photogenic (however you spell it)

Sam - ohh dear adorable Sam - don't let that bashful smile fool you much less the quiet sometimes in the back corner nature he throws off - he knows what he wants and he strives to get it!! Good Boy!! However word of advise ~ DETAIL DETAIL DETAIL You know of what I'm talkin' darlin'!

Benny - dearest Benny so quiet attentive and formal!! You are a great kid darlin' and will go far in life, as the rest of the others, but you are just adorable!

Alex - My darlin' Alex - advise "smile RIGHT for photo's" Your ability to laugh, enjoy life and just live in the moment no matter what is dealt you is such a testiment in your great ability to grab life in the moment and more importantly ENJOY IT!!!

TNICK- OMG what can I say about Taylor N? Ohhh I could find a lot to say but what could I say that would be appropriate in this setting Your never ending zest for life, ability to laugh at danger in its face, your natural ability to attract people to want to be near you is a gift! Just remember in your furture in baseball shoving a bat up the coaches ass isn't probably the wises decision in life!!!

Javier - Your smile, your hugs, and your constant loyalty is something I will miss the most! You shine at all times, be it in fun or seriousness, it amazes me as an adult to see such pure essence in a teenager and something that I will always admire and wish you never lose in life and seriously hope you don't forget Mama T!!

Miquel - you are so quiet, the quietest member of the senior baseball class but so adorable and loveable. Never lose your drive, ability to acheive and your easy gliding loveable smile!

Jess - my darlin' adorable JESICCCCCCCCCCAAAAAAAAAA!!! My ADD Child!! I could write a novel about you alone but will just say this I LOVE YOU BABE and please please NEVER change!!!

Last yet not least -

Ryan - How will I ever get through this - I'm losing my boys, my friend, my eldest child. You're all grown up now and as a mother I could never be any prouder! You had a dream and you work constantly to obtain that dream, you have had fears and have overcome them. You have grown into a man and a man that any mother would be proud to call her son - yet I'm the lucky mother to hold that title! Never doubt how much I love you, admire you, and am thankful that you are my son! I love you Boo and even tolerate your "gay" moments! Now if that isn't love I don't know what is

To all my "boys" you ALL make me proud! Now and always!! Strive for success and always aim to achieve your dreams!!! You boys can do it I have no doubt!! And when in town, no matter where you all might roam, know my door is always open and yes Sam I will always make you your favorite

Does It Ever End?

Well baseball season is in full swing now, however, Q18 is missing a great deal of it!!! I feel like Lynus from the "Peanuts" gang carrying my ever so faithful blanket around with me and the never ending black cloud following me where ever I go and turning to dust anything I touch!!!

This was suppose to be Q18's year, more importantly, break out year!!! He started out wonderful then a week ago Friday he started complaining his body hurt. I just chalked it up to him being over utlilized with the team. We had been fighting BAD and I had no intentions of attending the game that night, to make a point, not to mention I really was not up to it with all I have been going through physically. However, he begged, he wasn't feeling good, he begged and I gave in!!

From the moment I walked up and saw him pitch I knew something was really wrong ~ it was more than he wasn't on his A game something was really really off!!! He still won the game but you could tell Q18 wasn't up to par...

Later that night, Q18 did something he never does unless he is really sick, he crawled up on the couch with me to cuddle and watch TV. He gave up going out with friends and girlfriend to cuddle with mom, yeah baby something is wrong!!!

Well long story short, he had not been out of bed since a week ago Friday!!! He went to the doctor ~ strep throat ~ med's followed by rash ~ back to the doctor we go ~ new med's and rash is a strep throat rash ~ NOT which I argue with them about. Yes I know hard to believe I'd tell a doctor how to their job but well I did!!!

Rash getting worse so is Q18 ~ emergency room visit ~ rash allergic reaction to Zpack med's which apparently stay in his system for 21 days ~ first diagnosis spinal meningitis (however you spell it) luckily false ~ he has strep throat and mono with a Zpack med allergic reaction.

He is off the mound for at least the next 2 weeks and out of school now going on his second week.

Now Prissy Princess is starting with same actions as Q18 taking preventive actions going to doctor AGAIN 4 times in a week to make sure she is okay!!

Poor speedbump he is dragging trying to pick up the slack since I still haven't been able to get back to par fighting this and that since surgery...........can I just say THIS IS ROUGH!!!

What Was I Thinking!!

Okay so I got tired of how my room was arranged and took on the task of rearranging it *shaking head*; now I'm wondering what on earth was I thinking!!! Let me expain ~

Our bedroom is extremely large (for those who visited our old house this room is much larger than our room there) so we have our office in our room. So I got this idea, well I have had the idea for some time, but decided to act on this idea of having a reading area along with our office. That meant a bit of moving furniture which Steve was non to happy about but once that was done it was up to me to finish putting the idea together.

I have come to the conclusion that my eyes and ideas have more energy than my body actually has since surgery. It has taken awhile and I still have some odds and ends to put up, away or trash, but it is really turning out well. The room is really open now and I have an office area and a reading area with a very comfy chair to sit and read whenever time allows again.

On other topics strep and the flu are running rampant in our house. Poor Q18 has been down for the count all weekend and is still very sick. Which of course him being his sick self has shared his sickness with me. I told Speedbump yesterday I'm about tired of being sick let me tell ya!!!

I have been busy working on the school baseball program. When I voluntered to do this project I had no idea how much it would take over our lives around here! Yet I am now happy to report it is at the printers and we should have it no later than Monday. I'm excited to see it finalized I just hope Q18 likes his ad ~ I did something different than most ~ I did a baseball diamond for him and on each base placed a photo of an important event that has happened thus far this year :).

Ms. Prissy is busy trying to find her nitch and is very excited about her upcoming photo shoot! She has been upset because of all these new photo's of Q18 poping up ~ senior photo's ~ baseball photo's etc ~ so the lady who does all Q18's photos has offered to take some of Ms. Prissy and she now thinks she is the bomb!!

As you all can tell other than life things around here are more than a bit boring! There are days I don't think our life is boring but when writing about it ~ it does appear very boring!

I Must Say

Hubby has been a real sweetheart to me during my time down. Poor thing has been playing single parenthood during all this time I've been sick. I don't know what I would have done if he hadn't been here to hold my hand, literally, during being sick. Still having a terrible time of it today being a really bad day, but Speedbump has coddled me and taken care of me. I hate that I still can't drive or even feel good enough to go out and about as he turns 40 Monday.

I usually do a big whop te do for him on his birthdays, but this year I'll be lucky if I can even manage to get him a card, much less throw a party. *huge pout*. Hopefully I'll start feeling normal again soon so I can put together something for him late, but something non the less.

Then I have to try and pull myself out of my stupper quickly because Ms. Prissy Princess turns 8 March 5th. I have no idea where I'm going to give her a party this year, get her for her birthday or what type cake. Everything keeps sneaking up on me while I am struggling just to get up and take a shower LOL. I know wooo so pitiful me LOL.

Okay I'm Already Sick of 2007!

Well Buffy and T-Bone I am posting as per your request all full of joy and excitement LOL. However first I must ask T how do I use these little icon thingies on this page without being driected to another page???? Do tell!!!

Anyhoot, things around our house have been nothing but constant movement. Baseball has begun, however, I missed the first game. That really upset me!!! Both kids are busy with school and their selected activities there is never a dull moment in this house apparently.

Well two weeks ago I started feeling more than a little under the weather. I suffered for a few days and then went to my doctor who told me no worries it was just a urinarie track infection and gave me some antibotics. Okay, didn't feel like any ut I had ever had but whatever you say. I went home took my meds and pain meds and drifted off to sleep. I wake up around midnight in terrible pain and unable to breath so Speedbump and Q18 are standing there speechless on what to do as I'm rolling around unable to catch my breath, tears streaming down my face and in total pain. So Speedbump grabbed the phone and called 911.

Under normal circumstances all those good looking men in uniform would have been heaven for me, but I was in such bad shape I couldn't even enjoy the views *sniffle*. Three of them get me up on the stretcher take my vitals and off to the hospital we go ~ drugs immediately administered in the ambulance, normal questions etc etc as I lie there feeling like I"m dying for sure.

After many test and loads more pain med's enough to take the edge off the pain but not enough to kill it the emergency room doctor comes in and says he is admitting me for further test. By Sunday nite I was being wheeled in to surgery to have my gall bladder and appendix removed. Apparently they both decided to go bad at the same time!

Until Tuesday mid afternoon don't remember much only to be told that I had developed phenmonia and would have to stay longer than expected. UUGGHHH ~ Finally Thursday afternoon they released me still have phemonia but they feel I would get better rest and recovery at home as we all know sleeping in a hospital isn't happening!!!

So I am home now feeling better than the last time I was here but still not up to par which I guess is to be expected and decided to make a post so everyone knows I"m alive at least LOL.

So now you know why I'm already ready for 2007 to depart only hope that the year gets better from here!!!

The Actual Visit

After the wonderful drive up there (see post below) we finally arrived in Pavillion Wyoming around 9 p.m. Saturday night. From this point on I will refer to Pavillion as Podunkville. As we head into Podunkville we have NO cell service not even a glimpse of one the whole time we are there and mama had to meet us at one of the two bars in Podunkville to drive us to the their new house out in the middle of nowhere!!!! The only sign of life at my parents house besides them were cows and horses and if you think I'm kidding I will provide photo's here shortly. The cows turned out to be my source of entertainment and the source of my parents anxiety :). As a matter of fact, I had one of the cows become my alarm as he would moooo until I would come out and talk to him, he was number 29. Okay getting ahead of myself here ~

]]> The Diva was beside herself finally seeing Nana and Papa especially Papa!! She would not leave him alone. I have to admit it was so good seeing mama and daddy. Daddy was looking as good as he could considering all he has been through, but the parkensions is worse than I've ever seen it. Mama is really hard on daddy and I think it is because of two reasons, either she is in denial or she is scared to death of losing daddy.

Christmas eve was the begining of the Diva being Daddy's little shadow.

I love this picture of the two of them. The whole family got ready and went to my uncle's church for Christmas Eve. I was suprised, my uncle was very complementary and nice to me. We actually got along and had a good time together. It felt good after all that has transpired over the years between us I was prepared for a miserable reunion!!! But it was all really a good trip!!

In mama's effort to make sure everything was perfect the only time I could spend any time with her was in the kitchen. The woman cooked and cleaned non stop while we were there ~ here is mama in her glory!

Now as we were leaving for church the cows were blocking the driveway to get out. So of course I had to get pictures, because it really is a site to see and their refusal to leave their location is comical. Seeing my daddy get out of the truck and try and heard them is even more comical.

The Blizzard of 2006

Really SUCKED!!! Now many of you are going to ask how would I know since I live in Texas? Well, for the Christmas holiday I loaded up the kids in my baby and drove to Wyoming to spend the holidays with my parents. The original plan was to get there before Christmas and leave the Friday before New Years. Well, mother nature had other plans for us!!

To say that I was not having a good time would be an understatement. Let's face it I HATE snow!!! Regardless the weather I was determined to see my daddy so I managed to not stress out too bad and make it through the bad driving weather!!! :smile

The above photo's were through Denver, but after going through all of that I was able to capture this photo on the toll way which wasn't so bad as the road prior to that point ~

Then we finally made it to Wyoming and the Diva was about to bust a gut to get to Nana and Papa so I made a pit stop to mark the special trip!! Although the Diva dosn't look all that happy that would be because she was FREEZING and Q18 was just in a grump mood for having being woken up from his long winter's nap! And a side note here the Diva wanted this photo and then realized it was flipping cold out there!!!

That was the trip up there and we managed to get there in record time even with all of the weather hendering us. I'll post more about our time there and then the trip back which was a very LONG LONG trip!!!

I Hope This Isn't A Sign

Well in less than a two week period, it seems that everyone around us has experienced a loss. As I posted below, last week, my best friends father died suddenly from an anerisum (however you spell it) and our friends here in the neighborhood had a family member commit suicide.

Yesterday after getting off work I found out that the principal of Ms. Prissy's school passed away that morning from a brain anerisum (again can't spell). It is so sad!!! She was a young woman I would venture to guess not even 50 yet. It is depressing to know that the grim reaper is clawing its way so close to people so close to my family.

Other than that bit of depressing news ~

]]> Work is going good. Today I found out my brain hasn't really turned to mush as much as I was begining to think nor did I kill as many brain cells as I thought either :biggrin.

Where my computer is concerned :bullet I'm growing more and more frustrated with her bitchy ways with me!!! If I had the time I would find myself glued to my office area in my room trying to find out what exactly is her problem. Trust me it would involve a great deal of cussing, drinking, beating and in the mist of it I would most certainly find someway to blame all the problems on Speedbump!!!! :biggrin In terms that T'sy just HATES me to use to describe what is going on with her would be "she is just acting bitchy!!!" :lol

Yet she is going to have to wait for my delving into what is wrong with her as I still have to decorate the house for Halloween, I'm slow on the uptake this year, not to mention also get this pig sti cleaned!!!!

I have been busy playing match maker with my best friend and my brother. Which my brother of course swears I had no hand in it :hum things seem to be working out very well where they are concerned!!! :happydance Now that they are off and running in a good way, I guess it is now time for me to turn my interest back into my house to get it prepared!! I'm really hoping to con them both into visiting VERY VERY SOON!!!!

Last but not least of items on my "things to do list" I have really got to get busy on the baseball program, selling ads, talking to T'sey, lining up printer etc. However, before I can really jump head first into that I have to help decorate the float for the upcoming Homecoming Parade for the boys! I keep telling myself it is Q18's last year make it the best you can for him, because otherwise I swear I would not be doing half of what I"m doing right now!!! Wearing me out!!!

Enough of our boring uneventful lives it is time for me to start :drinking and reading my new book by John Grisham!! I can't wait to dive into this book!!!! I'll keep you updated and also for an update Nicholas Sparks also has a book coming out this month, luckily after the release of Master Grisham's, or otherwise I'd be reading them both at the same time. :lol
