Questions

| | Comments (7)

first! the rules:
1. Leave me a comment saying, “Interview me.”
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your LJ or blog with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

So, now the questions from The DD:

1. What do you like about Florida (besides your fiance' *grin*) now that
you've been down there for awhile?
I would have to say the best thing about it is I have the freedom to be myself in a sense that was denied to me all my life...that's not really Florida per se, but it helped :smile

2. What's the best book you ever read?
omg...so many good ones I've read, my favorite would have to be Journey of Souls/Destiny of Souls

3. What job would you like to do if you could do any job that you wanted
and why?
I would be a crime scene investigator...that's been my dream since I was a young child, I always wanted to be the one to put together the pieces of a crime, find out why it happened, how it happened, etc...

4. What is the most important issue facing lesbians today and what do
you think the community needs to do to fix it? I'm not sure if its the most important issue, or if it's just the one that bothers me the most, personally...but the way our so called 'leaders' are trying to take away every right we have, because it's something they don't agree with...they don't seem to have any problems spending our tax dollars, which we pay in as much if not more than our straight counterparts...especially since we can't file federally as married.
As for how to fix it, the only thing I can think of is stand up and be heard...get involved, and VOTE!!

5. And inquiring minds want to know: did you get that sarong dress for
your wedding that you showed me awhile back? Yes I did :wink

I'm back

for those that noticed I was missing...
yes, I have returned...and boy do I have a funny story to tell...
okay, well, it's honestly not that funny to me right now, but I'm sure it's one of those that in time will be (I hope)
it all started a few months ago, my computer started rebooting at random times, not all that often at first, then started it more and more.
before we moved, it was doing it a little more frequently
after we moved, it was doing it VERY frequently :pummel
I'd replaced the CD-Rom, hard drive, processor, memory, power supply, and finally the motherboard...which just came in earlier this week...was still doing it
before the motherboard got replaced, it started giving me a stop error/blue screen, which basically said the boot sector of the drive was corrupt :scared (most likely attributed to all the random restarting)
get the new motherboard, put it in...nadda, nothing, zip, zilch
:wtf could it be??
so I pull out the books...yes, the 4 in. thick ones that I got from the A+ course I took...and started reading...
I came across a part that said to do a memory test when hooking up a new motherboard...basicly only putting in the memory, CPU and fan, and video card if the MB doesn't have it on-board (mine doesn't) and ONLY hooking up the Power SW wire from the case...then turning it on to see if you can get to the BIOS, etc...
so I gave it a shot, figured what the heck have I got to lose at this point?
powered up just fine...where before I had just gotten a blank screen...:hum
So I start wondering about the wires on the case...which one of those would cause it to keep doing this...
the Reset SW ones of course!!
so now I have enough spare parts (except for the case and power supply) to build another computer...since there was apparently nothing wrong with the old ones...:uhoh3:let_it_all_out
I swear, this was testing my whole theory that nothing could go wrong with a computer I couldn't fix :angry

In other, better news, now that I've gotten my computer fixed, I've managed to get everyone else that lives here networked where we can all use our own computers :biggrin

For my dear friend...

OK WhiteTiger, just because of your recent comment, I'm posting dammit!! :lol
I do have a valid excuse however, my computer, my baby, is having 'issues'...for some reason at random intervals it will reboot on me...I've replaced the processor, the power supply, hard drive (was blank, so clean install of the OS) so about the only thing left that it could be is the memory or the motherboard :scared
so today (being payday) I'm taking a trip to Comp-USA to pick up some memory...if nothing else by the time this is over with I'll have a brand new computer :rofl
or I'll throw the damn thing out the window :devil
can we tell I'm a tad bit frustrated? :pummel

And because this post is pretty much just for ~S~...you know I worry about you girl, so call me dammit!!! :cry :kisses :wink
Miss you!!

life, as we know it

Okay...so as I posted last time, we've moved :biggrin
in spite of my now ex-landlord being a bit of a prick, (he wants April's rent, even after the agreed upon 30 day notice) all is going well.
We STILL have not finished unpacking, working toward it rather well (managed to find the kitchen counters and part of the living room)...I'm getting to that point where I just want it DONE! It's driving me nuts (yes, short trip, I'm aware of that) however, have been to tired to really contribute much to the effort. :sad
I will be so glad when I get to feeling better! (as anyone who knows me can attest to, I hate being sick!)
Work seems to be going well for all involved, and we're doing well working out schedules to make sure the little one's covered...that all seems so familiar to me, working nights and making sure you're up in time to pick up the kid from school :lol...just wish it was my own that I was picking up also :walk_sad
on that front, I was informed a couple weeks ago that NONE of them wanted to come down this summer :cry, hopefully that has since changed, or it seemed to have changed last I talked to them...still very hard to talk about considering what all is involved there, to say I'm hurt beyond belief is an understatement.
On a final note, some progress has been made with wedding plans, to which I plan on updating that blog as soon as I post this!
